Parent Power!

Dear Year 11 Parents,

May I introduce myself to you on this snow day in January. I am Miss Thompson and I have recently joined the school. I have been teaching for 8 years and more recently have been working for City Challenge in schools in Manchester and London, improving the GCSE grades of young people. I am privilaged to be here to work with your child and providing their needs for the forthcoming GCSE English.

As this is a time of pressure, hard work and determination for your child, it can be a frustrating time for parents as you want to help your child although don't always know the best way to do this.

This weekly blog will provide you with practical help and activities that will calm your nerves and allow you to become involved in yor students learning. (you may even learn something yourself too!!).

It won't take long to feel the benefit of following this.
